Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child

Madison is proud to be the 12th city in a growing network of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child cities committed to ensuring our students have a quality, well-rounded education that provides access to the Arts.

An education that includes the Arts:

ENGAGES students and increases their learning and achievement

DEVELOPS essential skills that prepare our students to be successful in the 21st century workforce

PREPARES students to become productive members of their community

Arts Liaisons

In Phase II, Any Given Child Madison created an arts liaison network for Madison Metropolitan School District. A representative from each elementary and middle school come together four times throughout the school year to help define arts-rich and be the arts advocate in each school to share the program on a grassroots level. We are proud to have a diverse group of liaisons consisting of certified arts specialist teachers, certified non-arts specialist teachers, vice-principals, and parents serving in this role. The Arts Liaisons connect students, schools, and communities to resources and opportunities that will grow and expand programming in music, dance, theatre and the visual arts. The Arts Liaisons lead, connect and inspire—developing arts programs within their school and working to meet rigorous goals for arts education. The Arts Liaisons are encouraged to work together to share best practices and to be a resource for one another in building and sustaining programs and partnerships.
