Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child

Madison is proud to be the 12th city in a growing network of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child cities committed to ensuring our students have a quality, well-rounded education that provides access to the Arts.

An education that includes the Arts:

ENGAGES students and increases their learning and achievement

DEVELOPS essential skills that prepare our students to be successful in the 21st century workforce

PREPARES students to become productive members of their community

We are excited to share that Superintendent Jennifer Cheatham, Mayor Paul Soglin, and Overture President and CEO Ted DeDee have announced the appointment of Kathleen Callaghan as Any Given Child Madison’s (AGCM) first Director of Development.

“Any Given Child Madison members have worked together for five years to identify the opportunity gap in arts education and establish goals to ensure that every child in Madison has access to a top notch education inclusive of the arts,” said Mayor Paul Soglin. He added, “With the addition of Kathleen Callaghan, this group will be in a position to raise funds for projects and programs that are currently missing for some of our students. Kathleen comes to this position with great experience and she will play an essential role in the continued growth of AGCM.”

We hope you will join us in welcoming Kathleen at a special reception featuring special student musical entertainment and remarks from Jennifer Cheatham, Superintendent for Madison Metropolitan School District, Gloria Reyes, Madison Metropolitan School Board Member and Tim Sauers, Overture Center for the Art’s Vice President of Programming and Community Engagement.
